Sforzando has 50 members... though I'll have to go through them and eliminate the dead ones sometime soon when my shoulder doesn't hurt. -_-

I totally messed up my geography exam, but the subject sucks and anyway, if there's one thing that I'm sure of about my future, it's that it will NOT involve geography.

"Birthday Girl" is a really wierd movie. With strange humor. -_-;;

Math exams are a pain. So are French debates. I'm currently in a rather belligerent mood, because I haven't studied anything yet and I'm out of time. I feel like making lots of people angry with me.

Justin Timberlake sucks.

It's been a while since I've done the search-engine check. I have the impression that I missed a couple of good ones, but that's okay.

1. faramir beregond slash
2. who is the boy who play tom marvolo riddle and pictures of him
3. HUNGA BUNGA

Very good. I compliment myself. ^^

Arrgh, I *hate* the bloody projects we have at school. They should give us time to develop our extracurricular talents, darn it.

I don't know how I manage it, but I've fallen sick again. Bloody viruses.

Concerning all that stuff on Gary Oldman playing Sirius Black in the next two Harry Potter movies: the evil guy in The Professional? Beethoven in Immortal Beloved? And, apparently, Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy? Hmmmm. Interesting.

I feel terrible.

Random thought <<

Would it be possible to listen to a song so many times that your brain registers every single little sound wave and you can summon it to play it whenever you want? Like a sort of built-in chip? I calculate that by the time I reach CÉGEP I should be able to play Bohemian Rhapsody in my brain, real time, with no discman.

Last day <<

I think about it, and yes, it's been quite an unproductive winter holiday since I haven't finished a single PS2 game, though I *have* finished the necessary homework, sort of, and watched oodles of DVDs. Can't be that bad.

Went skating with the girls yesterday -- was worried that I'd forgotten how. ^^;; The weather was Caradhras-worthy, and I had to pay attention because my mother didn't let me bring my music with me, which ultimately caused loads of trouble that I won't get into here. So we sang WWRY and BoRhap while waiting for the bus, driving away an unfortunate lady who waited about 15 seconds before deciding she could probably walk to wherever she was headed for. *laughs nervously* And I give in, girls, it was Freddie who banged the microphone, OK? -_- But you could only see the bottom of his jacket, so I can't be blamed.

It's bloody freezing down here.

Hmmm... <<

It sort of kills me that Brian May has this -- not blog, but page where fans transcribe his mail to them or something, though it's a lot like a blog -- where he talks and talks about astronomy and answers some fan mail. (He's got his PhD and he likes Philip Pullman...) You see, this is the sort of thing that threatens to make me fall into full-depression mode again. >_<

I'm working on a new blog layout. ParaKiss, hopefully?

Is it possible to find Queen's first album anywhere? The one called, very imaginatively, Queen? I don't think any of it's on the Greatest Hits, but I *like* the songs on it. Grrr. I'm wierd.

I finally managed to find, without getting into full-depression mode this time, the long-sought information that is Freddie Mercury's weight in the seventies: 119 lbs.

I played around 2 hours of Kingdom Hearts and

Squall was wearing bellbottoms.

I may now die a happy girl. ^_^

Nothing else worth mentioning, really, except possibly the fact that people've been working on a Good Omens movie and they'd better not have cut off the Queen Joke, because I want the soundtrack to be by them. ^^

Happy New Year <<

Speaking of Queen and David Bowie... (she says innocently) Spent New Year's Eve with my parents and a bunch of friends, playing a bit of Myst III: Exile (which is pretty much exactly like how I remember the first one to be, mostly because I was six or seven (or eight?) when I played the latter with my sister and my brain replaced bad graphics and slow loading time with their modern, um, counterparts (that's probably not grammatically correct, but check out what time it is)), then managing to convince them to put on hockey, which proved a harder task than you'd think: they hate hockey. Or they think it's dumb or both (quote: "Queen, I understand, but hockey!?"), but anyway, I managed to watch the third period and overtime, which turned out to be extremely boring. For some reason we're having difficulty against all these sucky teams... -_-

And then there was lots of changing channels between Times Square and Las Vegas. I personally thought Times Square was good, and for once the others agreed, because Christian decided that David Bowie was cooler than Mick Jagger. The former had this pretty nice black trenchcoat thing on... Then my dad made fun of both, to my annoyance, and by the way why do my parents keep being mean to Freddie Mercury? Nobody touch my prize teddy bear. >_<

I must have listened to my new Best of Queen II CD about 5 times yesterday. It was the first thing that I listened to in 2003. :P (Really, 2003 is so much more aesthetically pleasing than 2002...) I've semi-gotten over my depression mode now. -_-

And I got Kingdom Hearts! It's spooking me out a little. O_o

And tomorrow, the girls are coming over to watch... guess. XD I'm sort of in Freddie-is-dead depression mode, which comes and goes every 25 times I've listened to my CD or so (that's thrice), unless of course I'm actually listening to it. I think I'm going to make a new Best of Queen, may Crowley curse me, because the early stuff is just so much happier.

What colours are David Bowie's eyes? I swear one's green and one's purple, and the pupil sizes are different. Consistently. Space oddity no dah. -_-

I can't beat bloody Malfoy in the duel. How am I actually supposed to attack him? Does a walkthrough for this game exist? I have the impression that it's supposed to be so brain-dead you don't need one. T_T

Gosh, I just love what the Habs are doing. A record-low 12 shots, and two goals. If we can't win, at least we can lower the opposite goalie's stats. -_-

I suppose I ought to say Merry Christmas <<

If I don't blog now, you probably won't hear from me until school begins again.

There are no words to express the Nirvana that I have attained.

I have Harry/Draco lego. I have Queen. I have a totally unexpected HP:CoS video game, I have the LotR game at my disposal and the week's worth of commentary, I have Kingdom Hearts that will be shipped to me sometime this week or whereabouts, I have new earphones (Patrick). What else do I need in life to be happy?

That's right. Nothing.

Permit me to rephrase all of the previous paragraph: I can get Harry and Draco to engage in un-catholic activities on my desk, I own Brian May's hands on DVD, I can wander around in virtual!Diagon Alley and meet a random wizard and he'd have an Irish accent, I can use the One Ring, I can listen to my Queen CD *high quality*.

I also danced to a live concert version of "I Want To Break Free" in a pitch-dark kitchen this afternoon... Christmas spirit, girl. ^^;;

I am TOTALLY in a parallel universe at the moment.

And girls, if you're reading this, which you had better be, I will somehow convince my mother to let you come over. The commentary works on my DVD player. I heard John's voice. (I cannot add enough emphasis to the previous sentence.) We can follow it up with the legislation-of-prostitution debate... Bah, I'll call you.

One day.

Oh, and Merry Christmas.

<<

Only *I* get a 103.1 F fever two days before Christmas Eve.

Somehow, I managed to recover within 24 hours, and I'm absolutely fine now, except for the remains of a sore throat and a very empty stomach. And lots of lots of Return of the King - doesn't Faramir get absolutely the best lines of all time? ^^;; I ship Faramir/Beregond! -_-

I downloaded... surprise surprise... more Queen! I think they have this disc that sounds sort of... Spanish. Anyway, Innuendo is like Bohemian Rhapsody, just that the beginning is out of FFVII and the middle section is, well, sort of Spanish. But anyway. (I'm still at the "intrigued" stage at the moment. T_T)

I am absolutely *sick* of writing about Holden Caulfield and his messed up relationships.

Ahhhh, now that the Habs actually *didn't* suck, I feel like blogging again. ^^

Watched a sappy romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and some not-very-good-looking guys, that was "okay". Am feeling rather happy because there isn't much important homework this weekend, and I finished my bloody semi-symbolist poem (dedicated to none other than Fred #1: Chopin) for literature class (voted class with most misunderstood teacher, I think, unless Grenier counts), which was the only remaining pain in the arse. Mmmm, the wonderful feeling of one's hair turning black again... ^^

Go Habs go.

Theory exam yet again <<

The art of very obviously using a computer reserved for music catalog research to satisfy other needs.

I passed my French oral today -- whatever -- read out my text on China's AIDS problem -- not whatever, but that's okay -- and feel overall pretty peppy. I began laughing like hell in the bus with Smaranda and Larissa, the former a Queen veteran (yes, *veteran*) and the latter a fellow obsedee. I asked, by the way, and Smaranda says that it's brain damage that makes me say that the Beatles can't sing. She says that's why I'm obsessed with Queen and not the Beatles. Sounds plausible. It works very drug-like: first you're high, which lasts about a week and a half, then you're not high anymore, but you're down if you don't keep listening. Sort of depressing when you think about it.

Diana Gabaldon rules the world yet again: girl sitting behind us in biology class was reading it, and I felt a surge of pity deep inside myself. I've nearly sworn not to read further than the third book (Voyager), if only because Frank makes reappearances in that one, bastardly or not. It would be interesting if they made a film adaptation of Outlander. Guess who's everyone's first pick to play Jack and Frank Randall? XD

I'm reading Red Dragon now, though it's a translation, and the main character (Ed Norton?) is pretty cool. I also finished Peter Pan.

James Hook, not wholly unheroic figure, farewell.

I love him! I'm deeply, madly in love with the guy! He just has messed up complexes. ^^

Anyway, I'm feeling a little lonely blogging all by myself.

Watched this ridiculous but nevertheless entertaining pirate movie last night -- Cutthroat Island, or something that sounds like it -- the acting was "sigh", but it's been a while since I saw pirate ship battles, so it was fun. ^^

The art of being bored 403, mastered by Lu-chan and Sveta-chan: Spanish comic strip -- I'm doubtful about how informative the results will be -- with Queen members (Roger in drag) incorporated and John-Lennon-meets-Saruman in the background. Also guys making out and a rich lady stealing a bitter orange from our grade 7 substitute maths teacher's son's shop. Let's just say that we hope our Spanish teacher does not look too closely at some things. ^^

No, not a piano class...

I decided to try my luck yesterday evening and watched the Canadian Sears Open. (There wasn't any Hockey Night in Canada.) Luckily, Alexei Yagudin showed up -- I was so sure he was still in the Bahamas or something -- and he pulled off Memorial in front of the judges (that is to say, the make-out session with the ice) and even got a couple of 6.0s for it. O.o The depressing thing is that he seemed rather down in the interview afterward, because apparently his injury still gives him gyp and he won't be going to the Worlds this year. (And we all know what that means... >_<) I'm a bit worried for his career, honestly. T_T

On a brighter note, CAPTAIN HOOK IS A JAMES!!!! KUJA-SAMA IS GOOD TO ME! XD I'm absolutely in love with the guy. ^^

Lucius Malfoy's hair <<

Gosh, the Habs are sucking.

Allrighty, what was the last thing that I blogged about? Was too lazy to check... Upcoming is: one huge theory exam, one oral in French class, one text on AIDS in China, one huge English oral on euthanasia, one long comic strip on gypsies in ancient Spain, one written production in Spanish, one symbolist poem for literature, one oral in Spanish...

You get the gist, hey?

(Lu-chan obligingly blogs about Lucius Malfoy's hair)

I bet he uses that Physique shampoo they were talking about in maths class today, whatever it is -- 10$ for a tiny bottle, that sounds close enough. It's quite tragic that he won't be in the third movie, though I suspect that Sirius Black/Remus Lupin (that wasn't a slash, people) will make me forget about it. It also occurs to me that the third movie is quite risky on my appreciation meter. I didn't like the first, but I liked the second because I think the director got a little more bearable. (And the special effects... let us not forget the special effects. This is all without getting into LM and Benicio-the-hair-ribbon, of course.) But the third book is my (and everybody else in the world's) favourite one, and if they even remotely mess up Sirius or Lupin or their casting or their hair colour or their hairstyle or their voices or their accent or their eye colour or their clothing taste or Kuja knows what, yours truly will be extremely depressed, pissed, annoyed, and basically whining her head off during the entire 2 1/2 (3?) hours of the movie. And let's not forget to mention the whole month after that, until Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King decides to come out. -_-

I just made myself very nervous. O.o

Did I forget to thank Kuja that the Spain trip is next October and therefore will not involve someone not being able to see any of two movies right after they come out? Yes, I'm going to Spain, and I would kiss, uh, John Deacon if he's alive for it.

I should work on Mr. Euthanasia now. Leaving myself around twenty minutes to study before the exam in fifty minutes...

Wooow, I had dreams of Queen concerts last night. T_T After maints viewings at Lari's yesterday - and of course, hard, HARD work on our project on euthanasia (hear the irony) - we had a belated overdose. I've also decided that the guitarrist is really cool (he has Chopinesque fingers, I do say), and Freddie's best clothing taste came with his star-shaped sunglasses during "We Will Rock You". I want those glasses. :P

Interesting fact: After way too much information on the making of Bohemian Rhapsody, I went home and played a Beethoven sonata with loads of impulsive rubato. This is a Good Thing. Freddie Mercury has a good effect on your piano playing. ^^

Ugh. December looks about as bad as last year's April. Thank Kuja for small mercies -- no concerts before early February. And I don't think I've ever looked forward to Christmas quite so much since I was 9 or something.

Ooookay. I'm currently feeling extremely depressed -- it's NOT FUNNY to leave home at 7:20 AM and get back at 9:20 PM, no sirree. PLUS, my discman ran out of batteries this morning, when I hadn't even gotten past Bohemian Rhapsody, and the songs I enjoy are very evenly spread out throughout the CD, which means that I have to spend a whole 5 hours without any Queen. >_<

Why is the library abandoned at this time? Did I miss something?

Sniffle <<

Hey, we actually won the Grey Cup. ^^

So why is Neechan the only one who understands my dream of skinny guys wearing bell bottoms and platforms? >_< Larissa's parents bought a Queen's Greatest Hits DVD, complete with music videos and concerts (hey, when your mother's a fan...), Svet's father bought her Kingdom Hearts already... it's enough to make any 14-year-old girl want to commit suicide, right? T_T

So that's why, basically, Neechan, you and your fics were my little ray of light. -_- Besides, I think you also converted a bored Nat into a Harry/Draco fan during lunch period. Anyway, I sure am now, so I want more.

Sigh.

New layout <<

Well, it's been pink long enough. I've been listening to Eminem's Lose Yourself while making this layout, and somehow my brain has done the inevitable and associated it with Harry Potter. -_- (So, Neechan, that music video you downloaded was very, *very* amusing.) Gosh, I actually feel like going to see this movie AGAIN. O.o

Last night I watched a new version of The Hound of the Baskervilles, with a mostly British cast. Putting aside the gratuitous cocaine shots, Richard Roxburgh makes a pretty cool Sherlock Holmes (you really have to appreciate how squeaky everyone is in Moulin Rouge once you see some of these people's other movies) and Professor Quirrell was an okay Watson. But WHY were they shipping Stapleton/Holmes!? T_T

Breakfast, please.
